Volkswagen Group Italia is Top Employer for the eighth year
The Italian subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group is ranked in the top 20 Italian companies out of 120 participants according to the Top Employers Institute, confirming the successful company policy, based on the quality of the employees’ working conditions.
“Achieving this result for eight consecutive years is the tangible sign that every initiative implemented over time has born fruit as hoped. We have always attached great importance to the value of human resources and, in particular, attended to the wellbeing and motivation of our team, the real driving force of the Company”, commented Massimo Nordio, CEO of Volkswagen Group Italia.
The annual survey of the Top Employers Institute certifies companies with high quality standards in HR, according to various parameters, i.e. talent management, career development programs, benefits to the employees and training policies, among others. “It is a recognition that confirms the success of the processes implemented within the Company and of the work that has been carried out by the HR department. This important result has been achieved thanks to the contribution of the whole management and to the fruitful cooperation with the Unitary Workplace Union Structure (RSU)” claimed Raffaella Ponticelli, Head of Human Resources.
The excellent working conditions have been proved not only by the survey, but they are also reflected in the Stimmungsbarometer’s results, a questionnaire on working environment presented by the Volkswagen Group to its 640.000 employees worldwide that tackles several issues, such as instruments and quality processes, cooperation, individual contribution and career development. The level of satisfaction at Volkswagen Group Italia in 2018 has confirmed the positive trend of the last years, by placing the Company among the first Group’s subsidiaries.
There are several new important elements that have contributed both to the Top Employer certification and to the general satisfaction of Volkswagen Group Italia’s employees; among these, the new system to incentive personal performance and the success of the first smart working test phase, that continues in 2019. Moreover, as integration to the extensive company welfare plan – VGI Welcare – the possibility of turning the Productivity Bonus into a broad range of products and services, and the enhancement of a specific fund to support the employees with young children or elderly parents in order to efficiently reconcile their private and professional lives.
