Verona, May 31st, 2024. Volkswagen Group Italia renews its support to the Fondazione Arena di Verona as Automotive Partner for the 18th consecutive year. Over the years, the collaboration, started in 2006, has consolidated as cornerstone of Cultural Engagement’s activities of Volkswagen Group Italia.
Marcus Osegowitsch, CEO of Volkswagen Group Italia, states: “As a testament to our strong bond with the city that has been hosting us for half a century, we care about supporting the Arena di Verona Opera Festival year after year. The event par excellence has been marking the summers for over a hundred editions by giving great vitality and excitement to the city’s cultural scene, bringing it to international attention. Our closeness with opera takes on even greater value from this year, since in December 2023 'The Practice of Opera Singing in Italy' officially entered the representative list of UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.”
