Volkswagen Group Italia confirms once again its support to Fondazione Arena di Verona

Volkswagen Group Italia renews its commitment to culture supporting Fondazione Arena di Verona, that since the first edition of the event – in 1913 – has been making Verona a point of reference on the world opera scene.
The Festival staging 46 performances from 17th June to 4th September, has established itself over the years as an initiative that gives the city international prestige and visibility and enriches the Verona city territory, both artistically and economically. “Also this year we did not hesitate to renew our partnership with Fondazione Arena di Verona, a relationship started more than 15 years ago that has become one of the cornerstones of our Corporate Social Responsibility activities” said Marcus Osegowitsch, CEO of Volkswagen Group Italia. “Link our name, in quality of Automotive Partner, to the Arena di Verona Opera Festival make us proud year by year. Also in this way, we express our closeness to Verona, the city that has been hosting us for almost 50 years and with which we create ever stronger synergies and projects.”
The 2022 season opens with the two most performed operas in the history of the Arena Festival: Carmen by Bizet, on 17th June, followed by Aida by Giuseppe Verdi, on 18th June, whose performances will continue from the following week. From 25th June another opera by Verdi, Nabucco, will be staged, as well as La Traviata - from 2nd July - and Turandot by Puccini, starting from August 4th. Also this year, the Festival will host three special evenings: the traditional appointment with Roberto Bolle and Friends, on 20th July; Carmina Burana, on 12th August and Domingo in Verdi Opera Night, on 25th August
