Change at the top of Volkswagen Group Italia
Pass of baton in Volkswagen Group Italia: as of today, Christoph Aringer will take on the role of CEO previously held by Marcus Osegowitsch who, after three years of success at the top, will take on new positions within the Volkswagen Group.

"Christoph Aringer, a recognized sales expert with proven experience, will carry on the success of Volkswagen Group Italia and will lead it with commitment and impetus, relying on his extensive experience at international level. I am delighted to be leading Volkswagen Group Italia with him towards a prosperous future", said Hans Peter Schützinger, spokesman for the management of Porsche Holding Salzburg, which has taken over the governance of Volkswagen Group Italia since July 1st 2024.
Hans Peter Schützinger added: "Since 2021, Marcus Osegowitsch has been leading the Volkswagen Group Italia with great effectiveness, consolidating it deeply and giving further impetus to the business model. At the same time, he laid solid foundations for the future transformation of the sales activities in Italy. We sincerely thank him for his achievements and wish him the best for his professional future within the Volkswagen Group".
Christoph Aringer (54) boasts a career of more than 35 years in the automotive industry, during which he gained vast experience at international level at Porsche Holding Salzburg and Škoda Auto a.s.. Following the expansion of Porsche Holding Salzburg’s business activities to China (2004-2014), Christoph Aringer held various management positions such as Head of Sales Asia and Overseas for Škoda Auto a.s. in Mladá Boleslav (Czech Republic), as well as Executive Director Marketing & Sales for Škoda Auto a.s. in Shanghai (2018- 2021). Christoph Aringer was recently responsible for the Southern/Western Europe region (Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and Switzerland) as Executive Director of Porsche Inter Auto, which has more than 200 dealers of the Volkswagen Group.
