A Volkswagen e-up! delivered to the Police of Milan
Today Volkswagen Group Italia has delivered a Volkswagen e-up! to the Milan State Police in the presence of Marcello Cardona, Police Commissioner of Milan, and Massimo Nordio, CEO of Volkswagen Group Italia.
Massimo Nordio: “Since 2015, we have delivered more than 1.800 vehicles to the State Police - among SEAT Leon, ŠKODA Octavia and Superb and Volkswagen Crafter - confirming the special bond between Volkswagen Group and our Country. After the Volkswagen e-up!s delivered to the Police of Rome in December 2016, this is a further initiative which strengthens a valuable partnership and which is proof of our commitment and will to expand e-mobility throughout Italy. The fact that the first electric vehicle of the Police of Milan is a model of our Group makes me particularly proud”.
The Volkswagen e-up! is a totally electric car, therefore does not produce noise pollution and is emission free. The technical characteristics of the vehicle, especially the electric drive – a 60 kW engine and a range of up to 160 km - and its compact dimensions make it particularly apt for the Police’s services in the pedestrian areas of the city center visited by thousands of tourists and citizens of Milan.
