Volkswagen Group Italia recognised as Top Employer also for the year 2018
For the seventh consecutive year the Italian subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group has been certified by the Top Employers Institute for its excellent working conditions and Human Resources management.
“Having achieved this result for the seventh consecutive year proves the enormous attention paid to the Human Resources and, in particular, to the wellness and the motivation of our team. That makes Volkswagen Group Italia an attractive employer for young talents and at the same time a company which gives its employees all the necessary means to develop their professionalism and to efficiently balance their private and working life” so Massimo Nordio, CEO of Volkswagen Group Italia.
“Gaining the title of Top Employer is cause for satisfaction and pride” states Raffaella Ponticelli, Head of Human Resources. “This certification demonstrates that the path taken in the last few years is the right one. We have achieved important results in 2017, also thanks to the effective collaboration with the Unitary Workplace Union Structure (RSU): an example is the introduction of VGI Welcare, a broad welfare program for all the employees.
Among the main innovations, the possibility to take advantage of the flexible benefits totally or partly converting – on a voluntary basis – the productivity bonus, without any fiscal charge, in a wide range of goods or services and to benefit of an additional company’s contribution.
The program includes also the extension of the healthcare policy to the household, as an integration to the coverage already provided for the Employees. Lastly, at the beginning of this year we have launched a six-month Smart Working pilot program, in order to evaluate its permanent introduction”.
The Top Employers Institute carries out an annual thorough research, evaluating all the parameters and the topics linked to the working conditions – from the talent strategy to the development programs for the employees, the benefits offered and the training policies – and certifies the companies with the highest qualitative standards in the HR field.
