Information according to article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 ( GDPR) on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of data.

With the present information, we inform you concerning data treatment.

1. Identity and contact details of the Data Controller.
The Data controller for the processing of personal data is Volkswagen Group italia S.p.A. with registered office at Viale G.R. Gumpert, 1 37137 Verona email : privacy@volkswagengroup.it (hereinafter also VGI) a company belonging to Volkswagen Group that distributes, in Italy, products and services identified by the trademarks Volkswagen, AUDI, SEAT, Skoda and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

3. Purposes and legal basis for the processing
Personal data will be process for the following purposes:
a) Sending of newsletters.

The data treatment indicated in the above mentioned lett. a) is necessary in order to provide the service to the user.

4. Recipients of the personal data
According to the indicated purposes the user’s personal data may be communicated:

1) To the Network of Volkswagen Group Italia S.p.A.
2) To the following companies: VOLKSWAGEN AG with registered office in Wolfsburg and Hannover (Germany), SKODA A.S. with registered office in Mlada Boleslav (Czech Republic), AUDI AG with registered office in Ingolstadt (Germany), SEAT S.A. with registered office in Barcelona (Spain)
3) To companies and professional operators that provide services concerning electronic data processing and consultancy services for software and information technology companies, as well as, companies for the management of information services related to the foregoing.
For the recipients indicated in the above mentioned number 2) and 3) is indicated only the categories of recipients of the personal data as they are subject to frequent updates and revisions. Therefore the data subjects can request the updated list of recipients, contacting the Data Controller at the addresses indicated in article 1 above.

5. Transfer of personal data to third countries.
The Data Controller may transfer the user’s personal data to companies belonging to Volkswagen Group with registers office in countries not belonging to the European Union according to the binding corporate rules in accordance with article 47 GDPR ( BCR) and only for the above mentioned purposes.
The updated list of the BCR signed by the companies belonging to the Volkswagen Group is available on the website http://www.volkswagengroup.it/privacy.
The user’s data may be transferred to third parties indicated in n. 3) article 4 of the present information based in countries not belonging to European Union, according to the principles indicated at article 45 and 46 of the GDPR related to existence of an adequacy decision by the European Commission or appropriate safeguards.

6. Data storage period
Personal data will be stored for the period of time strictly necessary for the pursuit of the specific purposes of the processing for which the user has given his/her consent, in particular for the purposes indicated in letter a) article 3 for the period of time necessary for the fulfillment of the contractual obligations and, in any case, no later than 10 years from the date of the collection of the data for the fulfillment of law and not further the time set by law for the prescription of rights.

7. Rights of the Data Subject.
The user shall have the right, at any time, to exercise the following rights:

a. Right of access to personal data : the Data Subject shall have the right to obtain from the Data Controller confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning him or her are being processed, and where that is the case, access to the personal data and the following information: the purposes of the processing, categories of personal data concerned, the recipients , storage period, the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, the right to request the rectification or the erasure or the restriction of processing and the right to object to processing of data as well as the existence of an automated decision-making.

b. Request to rectification or ensure of or restriction of processing of personal data; “restriction of processing” means the marking of stored personal data with the aim of limiting their processing in the future.

c. Object to the processing of personal data : to object, on grounds relating to his or her particular situation to processing of personal data for the execution of a task of public interest or for the pursuit of a legitimate interest of the Data Controller.

d. Data portability : in case of data processing carried out by automated means with the consent of the Data Subject or in the execution of contractual obligations, the Data Subject shall have the right to receive his/her personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format; in particular the personal data will be provided by the Data Controller in xml or similar format.

e. Withdraw of the consent to processing personal data for marketing purposes, both direct and indirect, market research and profiling. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdraw.

f. Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, according to article 77 GDPR , before the court where the data subject has his or her habitual residence, or the place of employment or the place of violation of his or her rights. In Italy the competent Authority for the protection of personal data processing may be contacted using the address indicated in the website http://garanteprivacy.it

The above mentioned rights may be exercised by sending a request to the Data Controller to the addresses indicated in article 1 above.

The request concerning the exercise of the rights of the Data Subject will be handle without justified delay and, in any case, within one month from the receiving of the request; this deadline may be extended by two months, only in case of particular complexity and in case of high number of requests.

8. Notice and data provision.
The personal data provision is mandatory when the provision itself is necessary in order to provide the services requested by the Data Subject. Consequently any refusal by the user to provide personal data, may imply the non - performance of the services requested, to the extent that such data are necessary for that purposes.

The Volkswagen Group is setting benchmarks in the development, testing and production of cutting-edge battery cell technology in Germany. In Salzgitter (Lower Saxony) alone, over 1,000 jobs are to be created by 2023/24 for testing and producing battery cells – 300 at Volkswagen’s development center and pilot line, 700 in a joint venture between Northvolt and Volkswagen to build and operate a battery cell factory. Over one billion euros is to be invested in the Volkswagen Group’s battery cell activities over the same period.
