The awarding ceremony was held at the Chamber of Deputies in the last days.
ANGI (Associazione Nazionale Giovani Innovatori) is the reference point for innovation and its development in Italy and awards a prize to the best initiatives. The aim is to support activities of social relevance, scientific and technological research, education, culture, young entrepreneurs and digital innovation. Stefano Sordelli, Future Mobility Manager of Volkswagen Group Italia, awarded two candidates: for the category Mobility the prize went to MotorK, a digital automotive company, while the startup Anemotech was awarded the prize for the category Smart City.
Volkswagen Group Italia, the Italian subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, has made strenuous efforts on many fronts in order to facilitate the transformation towards electric mobility. There are several concrete examples in this field. One of the main ones is EVA+, a project which aims to realize a fast charging infrastructure for electric vehicles along the main Italian and Austrian roads and motorways. The project plans to install 200 fast “multi-standard” charging stations over three years, 180 in our country and 20 in Austria. Motus-E and Electrify Verona stand alongside EVA+. Volkswagen Group Italia is involved in the first project as supporting partner, with the objective of speeding up nationally the development of the e-mobility alongside with the main stakeholders. The second one started in September 2018 in collaboration with the City of Verona and AGSM. It plans the free installation of a Wall Box for domestic recharge for the inhabitants of Verona who will purchase a totally electric vehicle, of any brand, as well as free access to the limited access area of the city center, free parking and the installation of fast charging stations.
