Volkswagen Group Italia is Automotive Partner of the Opera Festival 2018 at the Arena of Verona
For the thirteenth year in a row the Italian subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group joins the prestigious lyrical festival.
“We wanted to support the Fondazione Arena di Verona in organizing this important event also in 2018”, stated Massimo Nordio, CEO of Volkswagen Group Italia. “The partnership with Opera Festival has special value for us and keeps making us proud because year after year this lyrical festival, which is renowned all over the world, has been able to increase its relevance on a cultural level and has contributed to promote quality tourism in our city.”
Also this year’s edition - the 96th - offers a rich playbill of great interest, starting from the opening night on June 22nd with Carmen with the new staging by the director Hugo de Ana. The program comprises also the comeback of Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi (from July 7th), and Aida (starting on the 23rd of June), together with Turandot by Giacomo Puccini (from June 30th) and Barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini (from August 4th). The playbill includes also two event nights of great attraction: the long-established rendezvous with ballet titled Roberto Bolle & Friends, on stage on the 25th of July, and the Verdi Opera Night, planned for the 26th of August.
