MoDo is born: tomorrow’s mobility according to Volkswagen Group
Volkswagen Group Italia is launching MoDo ( modo.volkswagengroup.it ), a website that talks about the mobility of the future. News, stories and in-depth analyses to experience the great transformation that the Volkswagen Group is undergoing, a path that will lead it from being an automobile manufacturer to a provider of sustainable mobility as a whole. Not only: MoDo aims at shedding a light and giving answers to those who are wondering how we will move around in a not too far future.
“You hear a lot about how mobility will change in the next years” explains Massimo Nordio, CEO of Volkswagen Group Italia. “Very often, contradicting and not always competent voices create confusion. Thus MoDo intends to be an authoritative source of information, the voice of a Group which is leader in the automotive industry and that wants to clarify the situation for the ones looking for information about tomorrow’s mobility.”
Mobility is going to be electrical, connected, shared and autonomous – and the Volkswagen Group will be one of the main players. But in some ways, the future is already here. Just think about the many zero-emission vehicles of the Group Brands, digital factories, the new company MOIA and the concept car SEDRIC - and these are just a few examples. MoDo talks about this and much more, ranging from current hot topics, at the center of today’s debate, to futuristic themes, which will become reality of the next decades.
Browsing through the website it is possible to wholly enter the world of Volkswagen Group and understand in detail how it is preparing to the future. From the technical content of technologies that will move the cars of the future – artificial intelligence and autonomous driving are hot topics - to a wider idea of the quality of life, which will improve dramatically under many aspects thanks to innovation. Great attention is put on the R&D Centers of Excellence - the places where ideas are shaped and become reality - and on the teams that represent the core of the whole project: technology progresses constantly and is assuming a predominant role, but tomorrow’s mobility cannot be separated from the human touch.
The website was designed keeping the user-experience in the focus: the result is a clear and intuitive layout that guides the user through the pages, suggesting articles of interest and giving the possibility to share every single piece of content. There are two options to be always updated: subscribing to the monthly newsletter or registering to the service Stay Tuned, that sends an alert via email every time something is published.
